          OPEN HOUSE THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 18
Hello,
This is a message from the Amherst Regional Middle School.
This message is to remind you that parents/guardians are cordially invited to the Middle School Open House this Thursday, September 18 beginning at 7 p.m.  Students will bring home, on Thursday, a schedule of the times to meet each of your child’s teachers.  All parents/guardians are encouraged to attend.
Brighter Beginnings, a volunteer group from UMass, is providing limited free child care for parents/guardians attending the Open House.  There are a limited number of openings for child care. Please contact the ARMS main office before 12 noon on Thursday, September 18 and reserve a slot for child care that evening and to get more information.
For families that will be attending the Amherst Block Party prior to the Open House, there will be a trolley running with a pickup at the end of Pray Street in front of Kendrick Park to ARMS from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the ARMS main office at 362-1850.
We look forward to seeing you.

Info about Makerfaire in NYC on Sat. Sept. 20

Dear Makers @ Amherst Media friends,

Some of us are planning to go to the NY City Makerfaire next Saturday AM 9/20, leaving early that morning. See http://makerfaire.com/. Tickets are here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/world-maker-faire-new-york-2014-tickets-5640342416

I will be driving my UMass class, in a UMass van. Unfortunately that will be filled.

But I've created a Google Spreadsheet in case others are thinking about going. I can't fit any more in the van, but we can try and caravan down to the train station early saturday morning. If you think you want to go, sign up on the lower half of the spreadsheet and we'll see if we can get a carpool going.

Would be great to have a large "Makers at Amherst Media" showing down there! It's a fun event!

Cheers,
Charlie Schweik

Información sobre Makerfaire en NYC el sábado 20 de septiembre

Queridos amigos Creadores @ Amherst Media,

Saludos,
Charlie Schweik
