Last call for Florence Savings Bank Community Grants
Florence Bank (FSB) currently has voting for the Customers Choice Community Grants ($100,000 in total; up to $5000 per organization) that they give out each year to area non-profits.  Voting is through Wednesday, Dec 31st.

If you are an FSB customer, please consider voting for the Amherst Regional Public Public Schools PGO. (you have to type it in; it's not in the pre-populated list).

Whitsons December Newsletter

Amherst Regional Middle School

This December, Whitsons produce pick for “Harvest of the Month” is carrots. Students and staff enjoyed this healthy vegetable which is served nearly every day during the school year. In January, the featured selection will be the apple. Apples are on the lunch line nearly every day and diners will have the opportunity to sample different varieties and apple-filled dishes.

USDA regulations require that all students have at least one half a cup of fruit or vegetable on their tray. Students are developing a love of vegetables and creating life-long healthy habits.

On December 11, ARMS was pleased to have Chef Rich Sandmann in the kitchen. Chef Sandmann made a delicious lunch of BBQ chicken, sautéed spinach, pepperjack mac & cheese, cornbread and cinnamon apples with whipped cream. Students and staff enjoyed this meal and Whitsons broke all records for participation.

The entire community is invited to attend the Martin Luther King Breakfast on January 17th at Amherst Regional Middle School (170 Chestnut Street).  Whitsons supports the Martin Luther King Committee and participates by preparing the breakfast for all attendees. This is always a meaningful and fun time for all.
