Community Grants Program, Please Vote for ARPS

Each year, Florence Bank donates $100,000 to community non-profits through its Community Choice grants program. Each Florence Bank account holder is eligible to vote once for the community organization of their choice. All non-profits that get 50 or more votes receive a grant.

In 2016, the ARPS PGO received 52 votes and a donation of $947.00 which was used for classroom support, special projects, and more. This year, the PGOs of the ARPS PGO (CF, WW, ARMS, & ARHS) are campaigning jointly again to maximize our votes.

Some non-profits get up to $5,000 through the program.

The ARPS PGO is urging people to vote (at least consider voting for) for the "Amherst Regional Public Schools PGO," the name of our joint non-profit.

There are 2 easy ways that people can vote:
  1. Online - Visit https://www.florencebank.com/vote to view the online voting site & can cast a vote online for the "Amherst Regional Public Schools PGO".
  2. Paper Ballot - Templates attached. Ballots are also available at Florence Bank location.
Voting is open until December 31st.

2017 PGO Fall Fundraising

The PGO is run by a small, but dedicated, group of parent volunteers. While we organize fundraising events during the year, we also rely heavily on the support of ARMS families. Please consider making a donation to the PGO to help support our activities and events. See the attached flyer for more information – a copy of this flyer will also be coming home in your student’s backpack.

PGO Committee Members Needed!

We are looking for a few people to round out our two major PGO committees this year:
  • The Grants Committee. This committee meets three times per year to review grant applications from teachers/staff and student groups and make decisions about funding allocations. The meetings take place at some point within the two weeks after the application deadline from each of the three grant rounds. This year, those deadlines are Sept. 22, Dec. 6, and March 14. In the week prior to the meeting, you will be sent the applications by email, to review them in advance of the meeting.
  • The Educator Award Committee. This committee will meet a couple of times in the spring to review nominations for the ARMS Educator Award and choose a winner.
