Virtual Dungeons & Dragons at the Jones Library

Thursdays, June 3 to June 24 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Our next session of virtual Dungeons & Dragons for teens is starting soon. The June session will meet on Thursdays from 6 - 8 pm for four weeks (June 3 - June 24). The program is for ages 11 - 17, and total beginners are welcome! No special equipment is needed other than a computer with internet access. We play using a combination of Zoom for chat and the free website Roll20 for dice, maps, and character sheets.

This program is free of charge but spaces are limited, so register soon by emailing teens@joneslibrary.org. To help ensure a successful campaign, priority will be given to players who can attend all 4 sessions.

This program is made possible by the Friends of the Jones Libraries.

1st ARMS CLIMATE CHANGE CARNIVAL!

💚💚

On June 3, ARMS will hold its first ever Climate Change Carnival! We will take an interdisciplinary approach to examining climate change through hands-on workshops and guest speakers. The event will include experts from around the country, from our local area, and include youth presenters. We know Climate Change will not be solved by one solution on its own, so this day will expose students to a variety of entry points where they can take action. The Climate Change Carnival is an outgrowth of the Shelburne Farm Climate Resiliency Fellowship that ARMS teachers, Kerrita Mayfield,Tiffany Thibodeau and Irene LaRoche took part in from 2019-2020. Joining in the coordination of this year's Climate Change Carnival is Rich Ferro.
