Dear Parents of 7th & 8th Graders

Dear Parents & Guardians of ARMS 7th & 8th Graders,
As the school year winds down, ARMS has a few end-of-year events that require your help. While the activities focus on 8th graders moving on to high school, participation of parents/guardians of 8th and 7th graders is a tradition. We are looking for:
  1. 7th & 8th grade parent/guardian volunteers to help with 8th Grade Celebration & Dance (held at the High School on Friday, June 12th 7-9pm). 8th grade families organize, set up and clean up, while 7th grade parents/guardians are needed to staff the actual event (in order to save 8th graders the Xtreme embarrassment of having their family members present!). Official school chaperones manage the students; 7th grade parents help refresh the refreshments, make sure that messes are cleaned up by ARHS janitorial staff, and perhaps hold a limbo stick!
  2. 8th grade parents/guardians to help with the Mill River Picnic Field Trip on Wednesday, June 17th. Volunteers mainly help managing the food served throughout the day. Duties range from setup & cleanup of food/drinks; transportation of some food to and from ARMS; and coordinating the food in the pavilion at Mill River.
Please sign up for volunteer slots or food donations for both events at:
Reminder for 8th Grade Parents: Please fill out and send in the fee/donations form (with check) and permission slip for Mill River by June 1st. Attached to this email are the overview of end of year events, the fee/donation form, and Mill River permission slip in case your 8th grader neglected to pass the (goldenrod-colored) information packet to you on Friday.
Sincerely, the organizing committee: Victoria Cliche, Kaye Dugan, Alicia Lopez, Mike Malone, Allison Page, Erin Salvador & Stacey Wenczel
