Notes from Principal Patty

Team K and Principal Patty would like to thank ARMS parent Nicole Blum for volunteering her sewing expertise to stitch together the baby quilt for Ms. Kate Burke, Team K's social studies teacher. For inspiration, the students studied the paintings of contemporary artist, Jim Dine to create these heart-themed quilt squares for the baby who is expected to arrive on Valentine's Day! We are still missing a few field trip forms! This Friday, February 16th, all ARMS students and staff will be going to the movie theater to see the movie Wonder. This is an important ARMS community event that we look forward to experiencing together; it will launch our school-wide study of disability rights. In preparation of this trip, teachers are incorporating curriculum related to the movie (themes of “solidarity and empathy”) in all Advisory classes.
