Letter of Appreciation

Letters of Appreciation

Dear ARMS Families,

As we head into the holiday season, we want to suggest a simple way that you can show your appreciation for the wonderful team of people who support our kids at ARMS.  We believe that one of the nicest gifts you can give is the gift of thanks.

It is always nice to receive a letter that expresses appreciation for something you’ve done, and it feels good to show your appreciation to others.  You’ve probably heard your children say something, or noticed positive growth, that makes you feel appreciative toward a specific teacher, group of teachers or other support and custodial staff.  We would like to encourage the ARMS community to help ensure that this gratitude is expressed directly to teachers and staff.

The PGO has a number of activities through which we collaborate with teachers and staff members.  During this holiday season (and throughout the year), we encourage community members to write short thank you notes to teachers or staff members, whether an email or a hand-written note, to show your appreciation and gratitude for all that they do for our kids.  Surveys of educators throughout the country have shown that it is of extraordinary value to them to receive such notes.  So while you are working through your holiday card list this year, please take a moment to tell the ARMS teachers and staff that their important work is valued by us all.
