The Athletic Department is opening up the Alpine Skiing program to middle school boys.
Briefly, no previous race experience is required to join the Alpine Team, only the desire to ski and to become a better skier. The coaches only requirement of prospective athletes is that they be at least advanced or intermediate skiers.
The season will run from Nov 30 to Feb 19.
No race equipment is required, except for a helmet.
Your child will also need to purchase Berkshire East lift tickets for practices and races. These run around $22 each, and typically total about $325 for the season, per athlete. If you buy Berkshire East passes for your kids, then there's no need for the lift tickets.
