Survival Social sponsored by Team Y Tonight

This Friday, November 18th, from 7 -9 PM, Team Y students will host a social in the cafeteria at the middle school called the "Survival Social". This social will raise funds and awareness about our local Amherst Survival Center and about the international Syrian Refugees. The social is open to all ARMS students from grades 7 and 8 and all teams. The cost of the social is $3.00, but if a student brings an item that can be donated to the Amherst Survival Center (such as a canned good or toiletry item) the cost will be $2.00.  Financial support is available for students. Half of the proceeds from the social will go to the Survival Center and the other half will be given to the Refugees in Distress Club at the high school to benefit Syrian refugees. We encourage parents to volunteer to chaperone if they have an hour or 2 to spare. Thanks!

For students' safety:

Once students are at the social, they must stay in the ARMS school building at the social until 9:00 UNLESS a parent/guardian comes into the school to pick them up.

Please pick up your student to take them home on time. We are asking all parents/guardians to please arrive at 8:50 pm, so you are there to pick up your student when we end the social promptly at 9:00.  

We hope everyone can come to the social. There will be many activities, dancing, games and other activities so that all students can be included. It's going to be fun!

Este viernes 18 de noviembre de 7 a 9 de la tarde en la escuela intermedia habrȧ un baile esponsorizado por los estudiantes de Team Y. Este baile recaudarȧ fondos para el “Survival Center” de Amherst y para los refugiados sirios. El baile es para todos los estudiantes de grados 7 y 8 de la escuela intermedia y cuesta $3. Si traen algo para donar, cuesta $2. TSi su estudiante no puede pagar, habrȧ ayuda financiera. Si los padres quieren ayudar la noche del baile por una hora o dos, estȧn bienvenidos.

Para la seguridad de los estudiantes, ellos se tienen que quedar en el baile hasta las 9, o, si se quieren ir antes, un padre o tutor tiene que venir a buscarlos. Al final del baile, les pedimos que por favor lleguen a las 8:50 para recoger a sus hijos a las 9 en punto.

Esperamos que puedan venir al baile! Habrȧn actividades y juegos, y por supuesto música para bailar. Serȧ una noche divertida para todos!
