Teen Bookmaking Workshop (for ages 11-17)
Tuesdays in February, 5:30-6:30 PM in the Jones Library Crafts Room
February 4th We'll learn about printmaking using linocut techniques and make our own prints!
February 11th In this session we'll learn how to make our own handmade paper.
February 18th In the third session we'll learn collage techniques to make an awesome cover for our handmade books.
February 25th (5:30-7:00 PM) In our final session we'll learn bookbinding techniques and put the finishing touches on our handmade books.
Teens are encouraged to attend all 4 sessions to make a completed book.
This program is funded by the Friends of the Jones Library in memory of Shauna Strattonmeier, former Jones Library Young Adult Services Coordinator.
