Opportunity for Amherst Residents to Save on Solar Installations!

Created by a partnership between the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (Mass CEC) and the Green Communities Division of the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources (DOER), Solarize Mass provides lower pricing for small scale solar-electric (photovoltaic or PV) installations on local homes and businesses. The lower prices are available through bulk purchasing of PV systems. Pricing is based on a tiered reduction system; the greater number of participants in the program, the lower the rate.
In order to determine citizen interest in the program, Ms. Ciccarello created a survey for town residents. Responses to the survey will provide valuable information for the application process which may increase the chances of Amherst being chosen as one of the next Solarize Mass communities. Responses to the survey must be received no later than Friday, September 13th.The survey may be accessed on-line by going to:http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/T2W89QZ.
