Dear Middle School Parents/Guardians and Staff:
A Screening Committee is being established to support the selection of a new principal for the Regional Middle School to begin his/her work on July 1, 2014. The Screening Committee will consist of three parents/guardians, three members of the Middle School staff, and two Central Office administrators. The role of the Screening Committee is to review all applications, conduct initial interviews, and recommend finalist candidates to the Superintendent of Schools, who will make the final decision about which candidate to select for the position. The timeline for the screening and selection process is as follows:
STEP I: Review Candidates – Screening Committee – Complete by February 26
Screening Committee members must be available to come to Central Office to review the candidate pool and participate in a meeting at which semi-finalist candidates will be selected.
STEP II: Screening Committee Interviews – Week of March 3 (Thursday/Friday) and March 10 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday).
Members of the Screening Committee must be available to participate in semi-finalist interviews. At the end of the day on Wednesday, March 12, the Screening Committee will meet with Superintendent Geryk to review the candidates and make a recommendation about which candidates to invite for finalist interviews. The formal role of the Screening Committee ends with this recommendation.
We are hoping to invite finalists to the Middle School during the week of March 17 and/or March 24. During these visits, finalist candidates will spend a day at the Middle School touring the school and observing classrooms. Each candidate will meet with students, teachers, administrators, and the Superintendent of Schools. There will be evening public forums so that parents and guardians can meet and provide feedback about each finalist. It is hoped that a new Middle School Principal will be selected and announced to the community by April 11, 2014.
Concurrent with this position, we are also seeking a new Fort River School Principal. We will do our best to schedule the Fort River School public forums on evenings different from those scheduled for the Middle School.

Estimados Padres/Guardianes y Personal de la Escuela Intermedia:
Se está organizando un Comité de Selección para que ayude en la elección de un(a) nuevo(a) director(a) para la Escuela Regional Intermedia e inicie labores el 1 de Julio, 2014. El comité consistirá de tres padres/guardianes, tres miembros del personal de la Escuela Intermedia y dos Administradores de la Oficina Central. La función del comité será revisar todas las aplicaciones, llevar a cabo entrevistas iniciales y recomendar los candidatos finalistas a la Superintendencia de las Escuelas, quienes tomaran la decisión final acerca de cuál candidato seleccionar para la posición. El procedimiento para el proceso de selección se realizará de la siguiente manera:
PASO 1: Revisión de los Candidatos - Comité de Selección – Realizado para el 26 de Febrero
Los miembros del Comité de Selección deben estar disponibles para venir a la Oficina Central a revisar el grupo de candidatos y participar en una reunión en la cual serán seleccionados los candidatos semi-finalistas.
PASO II: Entrevistas realizadas por el Comité de Selección – Semana del 3 de marzo (Jueves/Viernes) y Semana del 10 de Marzo (Lunes, Martes, Miércoles).
Los miembros del Comité de Selección deben estar disponibles para participar en las entrevistas de los semi-finalistas. Al final del día, del miércoles, 12 de marzo, el Comité de Selección, se reunirá con la Superintendente Geryk para revisar la aplicación de los candidatos y hacer una recomendación acerca de a cuáles candidatos invitar para la entrevista final. La función del Comité de Selección finalizará con esta recomendación.
Esperamos poder invitar a los candidatos finalistas a la Escuela Intermedia durante la semana del 17 de marzo y/o durante la semana del 24 de marzo. Durante estas visitas, los candidatos finalistas pasaran el día en la escuela haciendo un tour y visitando los salones de clase. Cada candidato tendrá la oportunidad de reunirse con los estudiantes, profesores, administradores y la Superintendente de la Escuela. Habrán foros públicos en la noche, de tal forma que los padres y guardianes puedan reunirse y brindar retroalimentación acerca de cada finalista. Se espera que el/la nuevo(a) director(a) de la Escuela Intermedia, sea seleccionado y anunciado a la comunidad para el día 11 de abril, 2014.
Simultáneamente, también estamos en la búsqueda de un(a) nuevo(a) director(a) para la Escuela Fort River. Haremos nuestro mejor esfuerzo para programar los foros públicos en la noche de la Escuela Fort River en un horario diferente a los programados para la Escuela Intermedia.
