College Power: Find Your Path to College : Poder Colegial: Encuentra tu Camino al Colegio

The ARPS Family Center is offering “College Power” a free pilot mentoring program for income-eligible students who want to be the first generation in their family to attend college. Trained mentors help students expand their vision of the world and its opportunities, develop their own story, connect school performance to success in life, and negotiate the complex procedure of applying to college. Parent or guardian support is an important part of this process. The program is currently open to students in grades 7-11 and requires completing a simple application. The application is available at the main/guidance offices of the Amherst
Regional Middle and High School. The application is due Thursday, April 17, 2014 to the main
or guidance office at each school.

El Centro Familiar ARPS está ofreciendo "College Power", un programa de orientación piloto gratuito para los estudiantes con ingresos elegibles que quieren ser la primera generación en su familia en asistir a la universidad. Mentores capacitados ayudan a los estudiantes a ampliar su visión del mundo y sus oportunidades, desarrollar su propia historia, conectar el rendimiento escolar para el éxito en la vida y negociar el complejo procedimiento de aplicar a la universidad. El apoyo del padre o guardián es una parte importante de este proceso. El programa está abierto a los estudiantes en los grados 7-11 y requiere completar una sencilla aplicación. La aplicación está disponible en las oficina principal/ orientación de la escuela Regional Superior/ Intermedia de Amherst. La fecha límite para la aplicación es el jueves, 17 de abril 2014 y debe ser entregada a la oficina principal o consejería de la escuela correspondiente.
